Switching over to ART from Dalvik in the developer's mode

By doing that will it screw up the lollipop upgrade whenever the hell that comes?

Lollipop comes with ART so there should be no problem with that. The thing is, many people reported problems after switching the run time while in kitkat. Check how it was with phones like yours and weight the risks. Lollipop would be round the corner for your phone.

Yeah I don't know a hell of a lot about phones and I was reading that switching to art would make it run much smoother.Is there a notable difference? I shouldn't complain because I have a brand new g3.But I was curious, thank you very much for your reply much appreciated!.... This is a very good venue for dummies like me...lol.

Some complains about the battery drainning faster. The G3 is a superphone and you'll get Lollipop soon. It's up to you, but I wouldn't get into that, little gain.

I'd make a full data partition backup first - just in case. Half an hour of your time and you won't be stuck in a mode you can't stand.
