Switching phones

My wife and I want to switch phones for a couple of months. I'm trying to convince her to get a Motorola. we are on Verizon. Is it as simple as switching SIM cards? Or do we have to go into the Verizon store to do this? Maybe this is the wrong place for this thread, but I'm just taking a chance that someone knows how to do this. Thanks!

Since you're on Verizon, I believe you can't just swap SIM cards (I think those are just for the LTE, someone correct me if I'm wrong). You would either need to go to a store or possibly do it online. When I had Sprint, I was able to do all my phone swaps online.

Is it an upgrade or buying the phone online? Because you can't just switch sims those are for LTE only.

What phone are you switching from for the Motorola? It just depends. SIM cards are different size. When I had the iPhone 5 and I wanted the RAZR M I had to go into a Verizon store to get a new Sim for my RAZR M because iPhones have a smaller Sim card than most phones I believe.
