Switching SIM cards on ATT

I have a SIM card for ATT in my HTC One m8 cell phone. I'm thinking of buying someone's Verizon branded Samsung S7 for $150 with the two quick chargers they have. I'm wondering if I can just swap out the SIM card that was in theirs for my SIM card and start using it on ATT Network. Do I have to go into a store?. If I have to go to a store I guess they could switch it out and they'll be like a $30 activation fee and that's okay. Is there anything else to this?

No. They were with Verizon and went to get a new Motorola phone today. They told me that they only had two S7 for a year and I told him if it was in great shape I buy it for a hundred and fifty. They got to do a factory reset when they get everything transferred over. Other than that it looks in great shape no scratches no dings no nothing. I am with AT&T

Yes. Just pop in and go. You may need Att apn settings for data. Just sold my Verizon S7. Used it on Att and T-Mobile.

Thank you. I could watch YouTube about how to pop out the SIM card. How would I know whether it's working properly as far as data. I guess try to use the internet from the phone and if it isn't then go to AT&T question I guess the first thing is to just pop out the SIM cards if I can replace them and then see if the phone works

I would think it would need to be att phone. But I'm no expert. Just my opinion.

Thank you for that post and I read that article, which is a year old. So in the real world would I be better off spending more money and getting the new S8 or would I be just as well saving $600 and taking the chance with the 4 LTE. I'm in Memphis 90% of the time,

$150 is crazy cheap. If it's not damaged, you can buy it and see if it works for you. If it doesn't, sell it on swappa and make $150-$200.
