hi all, i am seriously considering switching to an android device. i have been using my iphone 3g for the past 2 years now and i want to explore the world of Android. i am most likely going to go with tmobile as my carrier, im leaning towards the nexus one or possibly the mytouch 3g slide. i would like to know if Android has something comparable to itunes because i like to stream podcasts while i am at work. also any likes or dislikes about either device mentioned above would be appreciated. thanks!

Im not sure about the devices you have asked about but You can use doubletwist to sync your itunes library to your device. Or for podcasts I use Google listen. Its free and you can set it up to download over wifi. Pretty good free app for podcasts. I use the droid Incredible with no problems with either one of these options

dfur, check out my guide for syncing with iTunes. It is linked in my signature. Hopefully that helps answer some of your questions. Feel free to post a comment or send me a message directly if you have issues/questions.

I'm in the same boat -- switching from an iPhone 3G to something Android. I was hopeful with syncing over WiFi per the link concerning TuneSync, but it seems to only sync playlists. I want to sync my entire library, so I think I'll go for something more like foubleTwist as well.

I'd really like to just be able to use iTunes natively, but that doesn't seem like an option.

There are playlists for such broad categories as "Library" and "Music". Thus, it is a simple matter to sync every song in iTunes into your Android phone.

Only if it's an iPod/iPhone. Why would iTunes natively sync to anything else?
Because it would be useful to users that use the iTunes store, etc. and don't necessarily use an Apple player. Still, I know that's not Apple's model.

Well, that's just awesome. Thanks!
