So how many of you are planning to try and go with Gamestop and not except you Google Play order, or will just stick with you Google Play order?

If I can buy one in person before my pre-order arrives, I will do that. However, I'm still hoping Google shipped a stealth batch already and I will be pleasantly surprised on Friday the 13th.

I am not a real fan of GS, and I kinda like Google,(even if they are evil) I like them more then a GS employee. I also like receiving packages in the mail, it reminds me of Xmas. Come to think of it...I didn't receive anything nearly as cool as the N7 last Xmas, mostly socks and underwear...:(

I ordered 1 from Office Depot, Staples, and Sam's Club today since they all had free shipping and essentially the same price (and most importantly all have local stores for easy return)... whichever one gets here first I'll keep and the other 2 will get returned to the stores. I'm betting that I'd get them more quickly than Google at this point... I could be wrong.

I am going to stay with my google play order. This way I do not have to drive around town hunting for a store that has inventory to sell to walk-in buyers. After my original pre-order of 6/27 I put a note in my calandar for Tuesday July 17 Nexus 7 arrival. So in my mind they are still within what they had promised.

Sticking with Google Play. If they ship on or before next Wed, they will have fulfilled the promise they made (shipping in 2-3 weeks). I appreciate wanting to get it before GS, especially if you preordered. It will be mildly annoying if that doesn't happen, but the two extra days wait won't be the end of the world! I think we're all so anxious to get our hands on the N7 that we're losing perspective.

I'm going to stick with my preorder at the Play Store. I want to support the direct sales of Nexus devices, so we can continue to buy them straight from Google in the future. Plus their customer service is possibly the best I've ever experienced.

I just searched the play store for Nexus 7 and only found books and music. What am I missing?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

I'm sticking with play store. They said 2-3 weeks and so far they haven't gone past that. And I also haven't seen anyone get their nexus 7 from GameStop or Staples. And in my area they aren't even selling it yet. Plus this is my first pre order. I'm a bit impatient but as long as they don't go past the date they gave sometime btw 2-3 weeks I'm gonna stick with play store.

Definitely sticking with my Google Play order. I'm expecting Game Stop's first batch of tablets to be sold out to pre-orders already in my area.

If Gamestop starts handing out tablets tomorrow and my Google Play order is still in another state, that's gonna suck a little having to wait the entire weekend. But I'll somehow survive (partly thanks to getting Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus *grin*).

Google.. They are the king-pin. I've never been straight to the source. Always dealing with the middle man.

I'm sticking with Google. Mine was ordered on July 4th and they said 2-3 weeks. It hasn't been that long yet.....and I believe it was us that came up with the 12th as a shipping date!!!!

Plus, have you ever dealt with a Gamestop employee??? They are geeker than we are!!!:D:D:D:D

This is how i see it also. If you can not wait. Then you need to go to whatever the AA version of electronic attachment and must having it the very first day or hour its made available.

I'm going to stick with Google Play. I'm not going through all the trouble of returning two tablets just to get it a few days earlier. I am a little upset about how GP handled the situation, but I'll be okay. A month from now, all will be forgotten anyway. I sincerely hope that Google learns from this for future similar situations.
