Switching to Pixel 4?

I am. I sent my Not 10+ back due to the horrible face smoothing effect when taking pictures of my kids. Beauty mode was off.

That is one thing I really don't like about Samsung's photo's. Put out a detail photo and let me do my own beautification IF I want to.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works.

The fact that they still have the sensor in back tells me they are not fully confident it will be reliable and secure. I don't like to use the back sensors....never got used to them.

If they offer an awesome trade in deal like the Note 10 did (which I am 99 percent sure they won't), I'm definitely trading in for a Pixel4XL. Really miss the 3XL already.

The pixel 4 is no match for the note 10 plus IMHO. I am still amazed at the note 10 it's the best phone for me to date. I carry both android and Apple just ordered a mint colored iPhone 11.

What I am excited about is that it is just more than a radar sensor. I was watching some videos of the development before Google bought it. It can identify objects placed on it and in front of it. It should be able to tell if it's a face or a hand then adjust actions according to what it seems.

Quick answer, no. Lesson learned the first.

Apple, Google gives me incentive to upgrade unlike OnePlus and SAMSUNG.

Yes, Google drops the price after the buzz and by then I'm on to the next big thing.

The first pixel was ugly AF and worst it cost more to upgrade then the iPhone but because of my addiction I went ahead. I even said some BS, how Google Assistant was worth it. LOL Look it up.

Back then it was advantage because of bloatware, lagging due to poor skins by LG, SAMSUNG, etc. The past few years the game has changed especially after OnePlus' Oxygen and Samsung's One UI. I could care less about the camera and not fussy about OS upgrades.

Bring down the initial launch price by even just $200 and throw in say, WirelessCharger, I will consider it. I doubt that'll happen.

Will wait to see how much the 4 XL cost, how much trading in Pixel 3 XL will save, and what goodies are offered.

If the pixel 4 gets good reviews, I'll likely get one simply because it's a Google phone. I won't switch to one, but I'll get on at some point. Not at launch though, not this time for sure.

I only need one phone and I don't switch every time a new one comes out.

With so many people in this thread buying every new phone, either switching or just adding, I'm surprised that none of you were in my stock investor thread from last year.

You clearly have the available cashflow.

I mean if I was interested in a Pixel 4, wth would I buy a Note 10+ only to order another phone in 6 weeks....same with Icrap.

I'm considering it.

I love my Google Pixel 2 way too much and thinking about switching to another manufacturer/camera experience has me a little nervous.

It'll be either the Samsung Galaxy S10e or the Google Pixel 4 (non-XL version - I like smaller phones). Will wait until October I'm guessing, before I make the final call.

So you have the smaller Note 10 then?

I don't see any real reason to get the pixel this year from the photos and early reviews and leaks the note and iPhone 11 seem to be the better devices. I have the 10 plus which is the best phone to date for me plus I replaced my xr with an 11 which I am still waiting for. The trade ins from samsung and tmobile were great this year so it was hard to not pull the trigger for both devices since i carry both.

Pixels do have good cameras but that's about it. Wonder if they will fix the poor ram management on them this time around. Don't think it will keep up with the Note 10+ though, even the new iPhone maxi "pro" plus lost to the Note 10+ in the latest speed tests going around. I'm still amazed at how many apps I can have open in the background with the N10+ I can come back days later and still be where I left off with no reloading at all.
