Swype Beta vs Swype Preinstalled

Not sure if this should go here or the application thread, but---- I was wondering if anyone out there would let me know if the swype beta is worth removing the preinstalled swype. Anyone else with a droid X try this yet? And if so is the swype beta that much different from the swype preinstalled? What are the differences and again is it worth the trouble to change it? I cannot seem to find any threads on this?

i was told that loading swype over native swype is a bad idea, but thats just what i heard

I've seen ways of removing the preinstalled swype to install the beta, but let me know what you heard. what experiences people had.

Are there any different features in the beta that we don't already have preinstalled?

Not worth it at all if you have Swype pre-installed.

Well the preinstalled swype is older then the beta. As in any bugs or new features not sure. U can remove swype but u need root. And remove 3 files then dl beta. I'm running beta and it wad pia to load but I got it working.

So have you seen any benefit since installing the beta? Or are the changes not worth the pia.

I found that the beta version seemed to be full of more bugs than the installed one. If you want to try it, go to the swype homepage and then into the forums section. Look up the pre installed programs on droid x and it will show what three files need to be deleted or hidden. Then reboot and install the beta. After two days I had to go back to stock because it seemed so buggy. Even though it was a newer version.
