First off, if this has already been addresses or posted please guide me to the fix...I have been unable to get on here lately.
here is my issue.
I use Handcent and the swype keyboard. I did the swype update a few weeks ago when i was notified. my problem is now, when i text after i hit the send button, the last word that i typed in that text is then automatically put in the next input section. so once i send that text and then back out of that section, it will always show a "draft" waiting. It is really irritating the you know what out of me. i found the only way to prevent this from happening is to put a puncuation mark at the end of a sentence. i know that is simple, but it is a pain. please help.Screenshot_2012-09-27-08-45-57_resized.pngScreenshot_2012-09-27-08-46-05_resized.png

I am also using Handcent with the Swype keyboard and I do not have this happening. Try going to Settings/Application manager then go to All at the top. Find Handcent and clear data and also clear cache. This often fixes issues like this. If this doesn't work, try going to Swype from the Application manager and do the same thing. Good luck.

I am having the same issue. Just cleared my data, hopefully that will help.

Something like this happens to me occasionally when I use the Google Talk app. I think it happens when I start typing my next line too quickly. I switched away from Swype for a while and saw it happen with another keyboard, so I chalk it up as an Android OS bug. Not sure if it's the same issue as what you're seeing, but it sounds similar.

Damn, now its happening on my phone! It seems like often the last word you text and send repeats itself in a new text.

It's a bug in Handcent. To get rid of the repeated last word, just end your text with a space. That's the easiest workaround I've found online.
