Swype Keyboard not working

So I decided to download Swype to give it a try. I followed all the instructions on how to install it but I cannot get it to work. After the install, I verified that Swype was selected in Language & keyboard however when I try to type a TXT or EMAIl I do not get teh Swype keyboard, I'm still getting the Sense keyboard.

Any suggestions?

BTW, I'm running the official 2.3.3 update from Verizon.

I got it working. I needed to long press in text box and select input method then choose Swype.
