Swype update

OK -- potentially silly question here. There's an update to the Swype beta that was just released that the Swype folks are urging people to upgrade to. I assume that doesn't affect us Droid X users, since the Swype on our phones is baked into the ROM and can't be uninstalled/upgraded except as part of an OTA, correct?

Correct. It's not for the Droid X. It's for the beta.

does the beta have anything special that we're not getting?

i'm just curious as i'm in the beta from a previous device, but don't know if i should bother installing it (or if i can)

I believe the beta was behind the version on the droid x and 2 but im not positive
