Symbols and special characters missing in P20 lite

In Huawei p6 I could type non-English language characters and symbols such as by long holding on a key. This features seems to be missing in p20 lite or am missing how to find it. Please help

If you mean accents and things like that, it depends on the language the particular variant was given firmware for.

If you mean the extra characters, tapping the number key, then the symbol key, should get you all of them. (And it also depends on the keyboard you're using - not everyone uses the stock keyboard.)
