@@@@ Symbols with "stock" sms on UKB 2.0

I'm sure this has already been addressed, but I just want to find a way to stop my phone from doing that. I don't like using Handcent or Go SMS all that much.

Stop your phone from doing what? Sorry, but i'm confused with your question.....is your phone randomly adding symbols to texts?

Sorry about that. I was really sleepy when I wrote that... yeah, its been adding random symbols to texts. Only on the stock messaging one. I am currently using Handcent, but I would much rather use the stock messaging app.

I also recall a problem once you went over the 160 character limit. Look for the MMS fix (can't remember where it is, but it should fix your issue).

....or I remember once getting a translator app that i thought was cool (no need for it but....) and I was getting that response from some paople too - not just the '@@@@' but all sorts of symbols so if this just started recently, maybe a new app is having an effect?
