Sync App Data & Sync People Details

Earlier this week "Sync App Data & Sync People Details" were added as options to the setting in my Google accounts. I would like to know what these new syncs do.

Thanks, but I already that info and it really doesn't explain to me what is happening. I was hoping since the Google I/O conference has ended that there would be more information available

Interesting, I hadn't noticed the "People" option. I would guess both are related to the new Google games services, but I haven't seen any official explanation at all. It would be nice if Google was a little bit more forthcoming when they make updates like this.

edit: Ran across this tonight: com.google.android.gms.plus.model.people | Android Developers Looks like this has to do with tying Android and Google+ more closely together.
