Sync is currently experiencing problems it will be back shortly

I just updated the Verizon update and i'm not receiving my google mail. Checked Accounts, Google and that is the message. How do you fix ?
My outgoing email from the phone is working but not receiving

Go into system settings - accounts - Google. Sign out then sign back in. Also make sure that you have email checked to sync from within that same menu.
 
Hi there,
I hope this is still active thread...
I've been looking all over cause I have the same sync error. BUT- I don't see any 'log out' on my note3 . - only 'remove' that takes me out to chrome to remove the account totally... (not only on phone)

Update - I loged out from all accounts through Gmail. signed in again and still have this syncs issue

Help please
