Sync is getting stuck on my andriod 8.0.0

[Android Central Question]

When I go into accounts and tell my account to sync, the two arrows that form a circle shows up beside most of the items. But that's it. None of them start to spin showing they are actually syncing, and they stay that way, as if always in queue but never starting. Any suggestions? I'm using a Samsung S8.

Welcome to Android Central! Is Automatic Sync turned on? What happens if you tap those items to toggle off sync, and then toggle back on again -- it still doesn't sync?
