I suspect it could be caused by T-mobile's "MobileLife contacts"
Do you have a T-Mobile phone? Is it set to sync under "accounts and sync"? Try disabling or uninstalling it, it's useless bloatware anyways.
Either that or it could be the stock web browser. I have the "Sync web" unchecked (under accounts and sync) because when I checked it I got another error ("unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped").
I have uninstalled both and I'll let you know if the problem continues. Of course, since I uninstalled them both I won't know which one solved the problem.
