"Synchronization is experiencing problems" alert

I have had this error on my phone for about an hour. Tried a reboot and still have it.

Any thoughts? Does this happen from time to time? My other accounts seem to be syncing normally.

The problem corrected itself. Nevermind.

If anyone cares, the error is back. It hit just about all day yesterday, started working sometime last night, then fouled out again this morning.

I think I am ready to ditch using EAS and just go back to the gmail app. There are pros and cons to each app, but right now there are a TON of cons and not many pros.
