Synchronization on JB 4.1.2

Does anyone know how to enable synchronization on this version

When you first booted up, did u set up a google account or enter an existing ones details buddy?

It's not a new phone. Just updated the os. Noticed synchronization is no longer centralized

And when u tap it is there your gmail address with a green circly thing to the left?

Pull down the notification tray thing, the sync on/off toggle is still there with the quick settings at the top all the way to the right. Scroll the buttons over until you see it. It does seem odd there is no way to get to it in the regular settings though.
