Syncing contacts from Samsung Gear S3 watch to new Galaxy S9

[Android Central Question]

I had a Samsung Galaxy S7 and a Samsung Gear S3 watch. All my contacts from the S7 are on the watch. The S7 met its fate on a sidewalk and the repair guys tell me there is no way to remove the contacts or other info. due to the extent of the damage. However, the contacts are still on the watch. I've since then got a new Galaxy S9. Question is, is there a quick way to get the contacts from the watch on to the new phone? Would love any help!

If you had auto backup on the watch turned on or backed up your phone to samsung.com; you can restore from there. Or restore from your google account if you had that turned on. Then just resync...
