I've been struggling to get apps to update recently so I started moving as much as I could to sd card. I noticed that under storage > misc >system data is 7.22gb. That seems a lot to me but It is greyed out so I can't do anything with it.

I've used file manager to see what big stuff is in there but nothing of any note is showing up.

Any ideas how to get some of this space back.

1) Most of it's probably on the system partition, so even if you could free it all up, you still couldn't use it for anything. You can only use the user partitions for user apps and user data.

2) Most of it can't be seen unless the phone is rooted.

My system data is 7.56GB

Lg uses a lot for the G3 to function their way lol

Mine is a 32gb Sprint LG G3. And all it uses is 6.17gb, but its on KitKat 4.4.2 right now cause I haven't gotten a chance to update it to Lollipop. So it could get bigger or smaller when I update it to Lollipop 5.0.2 I believe or 5.1
