System UI / Android System notifications area driving me crazy. Can I turn them off?

Hey all,

I have a S25 on Android 15. It's One UI version is 7.0.

I'm getting extremely tired of constantly dismissing these notifications all day on my phone. To be clear, they don't appear on the lock screen and they are ONLY visible if I swipe down from the top of the screen. There is no notification bubble or dot on the top of the screen. It's annoying because when I actually have legitimate app notifications, they get stacked with the system ones.

These are the notifications I am getting throughout the day:

1. System UI. Category: Battery. Text: "Battery fast charging".

2. Android System. Category: USB Connection. Text: USB Charging "Tap for other USB options.".
(I have this set to "This Device" "Charging phone only" when I plug my phone into the USB-C port of my computer to charge it)

Every single time I plug a USB wire into my phone whether it's connected to a computer, the car, or a wall power outlet I get the same battery pop-up notification in the hidden swipe-down bar. I'll even get an extra notification when the charging has reached 80% if I have the battery protection option turned on. I turned that off because of the notifications.

If you don't already realize, none of these categories I mentioned can be configured. They are grayed-out by default.

Does anyone have a solution to reduce this annoyance? Are there apps that automatically hide these notifications?

I'm not near my Samsung phone but the first screen shot I get on all my phones when connected USB to computer, thinking other battery notifications you will have to dig into app settings to turn off

Could you check your phone the next time you're able to? I've been long pressing on the notifications and it brings me to options that are grayed out. I haven't found a way to disable them.

For now, I'm using an app called BuzzKill. It's removing the notifications before I even see it.

@mustang7757 I was going to edit my initial post to add your name, but I wasn't sure if that would have notified you.
You tagged me so yes it would alert me , the notifications is coming from the UI , you might be able to not get those alerts but USB and fast charging you would want to know especially USB because you can change that when tapped to just charging or moving files

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure.

I tapped the option and it's set to "Charge Only" & "This Device". Am I supposed to see this every single time I plug it into my computer? I don't need reminders each time it's plugged into the same device.

As far as the battery alerts go, I believe you're right. I've dug into every menu I could find and can't find a way to turn them off. Like I said in my previous post, I'm using an app to automatically dismiss them before I can even see it. I just can't believe there's not more control over it. I don't want a notification for when I'm charging AND when it finishes. It clutters up the actual legitimate alerts from other apps.

You could try to untick and display the show charging information that might turn them off

Give me a few to look into this for the battery notifications

I don't see a way to stop them without going into some deep stuff through through package disabler pro , in the notifications panel those notifications should be able to swipe away and not appear untill next time.

That's what I was afraid of. They definitely can be swiped away. I was just getting tired of doing that a high number of times per day.

Like I said before, the app I found on the store immediately reduced my annoyance and anguish once I blocked all System UI notifications. It'll have to do for now.

Thanks for taking the time to chime in!

No problem
Yeah system UI in past versions you could do more I guess with things going strict with security features they closed off those loop holes
