system ui stopped

Phone completely froze, could only turn the screen off but it stayed frozen. Then it got a weird green tint. That's when I got the system ui message and it restarted. If it does it again I'm reinstalling the firmware.

Oreo is looking good.

Have you already tried wiping the cache partition?

yeah. I've done it three times today. my phone refused to find my Chromecast. it's been doing weird things.

Safe Mode? Maybe the update isn't playing nice with some app that you had installed prior.

no idea. I did a clean install without any backups. if it keeps doing it I'm calling Samsung.
