system UID's inconsistent

[AC Question]

Recently my Droid Razr M started an unauthorized update. When it was finished it told me that the "UID's on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable". My only option is "I'm feeling lucky". I prefer not to loose anything. What do I do so I won't loose everything? Also, if I remove my sd card will that force it to wipe out my on device storage?

I had that happen on I think my Moto X. I clicked the same thing, and everything went fine. But I think I did get lucky.
