System Update Corrupted?

i recently got a system update on my HTC desire and since then, it crashes when i try to answer calls. it comes up with the message "an unexpected error has occured" and gives me th option of "force close" or "tell HTC" once i make the choice, the phone shows no signal and it takes a while to get it back, before i can call the person back. its really infuriating me.

how can i report it to HTC? or uninstall the update (not from android market)? i have chosen the "Tell HTC" option, but nothing has happened/improved.

this is the 1st time i have had issues with the phone.
