System update just hangs

With all of the upcoming froyo talk I thought I would go ahead and check system updates manually, weird thing is it just hangs at the checking for updates phase. In the past it would rather quickly tell me my phone was up to date (or in the case of the Verizon update, just update).
Anyone else experiencing this?

I just tried, and it completed almost instantly. I have seen it take a few seconds, or so, but I suspect that is network demand with everyone looking to see if Froyo is finished cooking.
