I am updated to the latest version 4.4.2(T217SVPUBOH1) yet I system update won't go away form the notification bar-check mark- or the pull down menu. Is there anyway to get rid of this?

Wiping cache did nothing. The app causing the notification is Samsung DM Service version 1.7.61

Go to the App Manager. Can you select DM Service there? If so, try Clear Cache. If that doesn't work, Clear Data as well.

All I can do is stop it. No option to clear cache or anything else. com.samsung.syncservice is under the name.

When I stop it, the notification goes away until I reboot.

Are you able to uncheck Show Notifications for com.samsung.syncservice?

That's odd. I'm not sure if this will help, and it's a minor hassle, but you could try Clearing Data from the TouchWiz launcher. This will wipe the homescreens clean, so you'll have to set them back up again. Go to the App Manager, select TouchWiz, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now see if the notification persists.

Thanks. That didn't work either. Strange. I ended up rooting and freezing some of the services apps that I wasn't able to without root. Problem solved. Thanks for the help.
