System Update?

Last week the Note Pro 10.1 (2014) WiFi ONLY received a message saying there was a system update. This tablet has been updated routinely since the purchase a few years ago. So this was not a wholesale OS update although I believe (only glance at it) the file was ~400MB. More weird is I haven't found any mention of this. The tablet is still at aOS 5.1.1.

Can someone shed some light on what this update was for? Can't tell any difference in looks or operation.

The tablet was recently updated to Android 6 Marshmallow, and don't know why you can't find any mention of it since there are quite a few posts about it in the forums

You won't notice a lot since most of the changes are 'under the hood' improvements, but yeah, the update is to Marshmallow.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Are you saying Samsung updated one or more of the Tab/Note Pros with MM? You're right, I hadn't heard that. And they never sent me an announcement to DL the update.

Unfortunately updates are also rolled out slowly per region so it might not 'hit' your device until after a few months. Horrible situation, but it is what it is.
