I just switched back to the stock launcher and still can't replicate the bug. That doesn't mean it's not in the launcher. Those who updated while actively running a third-party launcher might have bypassed the bug somehow.

Or, the root cause is something else entirely.

I did a complete factory reset and still see the same bug on the stock launcher. But 3rd party launchers like Nova work fine. When I updated though I was using the stock launcher. Not a big deal but definitely a bug somewhere on stock launcher since even factory reset didn't resolve it.

Yeah, the launcher seems to be buggy now after the update. I've had the home screen lock up on me twice 3 times now since the update, generally after a restart. Hope this gets fixed soon.

It doesn't seem any worse. It's too soon to say but might be slightly better. I'll know more on mine after a few days of cycles.

Interesting. Thanks for the test. Mine must have insulated itself from applying the bug. I believe I had the stock launcher force stopped at the time purely because I wasn't using it.

For those that have used the phone prior to the new update, and changed their display size to small, is the behavior different in regards to the status bar? I seem to think that in the first update, after changing display size to small, the bottom of the status bar lines up perfectly with the bottom of the camera cutout. But now, with the new update, it doesn't move, and isn't aligned with the cutout anymore.

Loading and switching between apps seems a lot faster now.

And Yes, the weird touch issue with YouTube video scrolling is also fixed with this update! Woot!

I noticed this as well, but it only happens after a restart for myself. Other than that, this device is buttery smooth and a hell of lot quicker than anything I have used recently.

Yeah, I've also noticed it sometimes happens after I plug in the charger. After a couple of seconds though it's back to normal. It's has to be something in the software because for the most part the phone is very fast and smooth.

New update today, seems to have smoothed out scrolling a bit. Still on September security patch, so this update was purely performance and bug fixes.

That's the one I was referring to. Would be tempting to buy again if it really helped the picture quality. Good to see they are rolling out updates pretty quickly

No doubt. I wish I still had mine to test. If the 2 XL doesn't work out then I might be back over here sooner than later.

Hate to say this, but it may have made it worse. While the camera was kinda slow in loading before, now it crashes for me. Weird. And here is a low light shot comparison between it, my iPhone 7 and S8 Active.

Yeah, it’s weird, it wasn’t crashing for me before, it actually worked fine, just a little slow. But now it’s almost unusable, it crashed 4 times while trying to take that shot. In an article I read it stated that an anonymous employee stated that every time they fixed something, something else would break. I guess my unit is an unfortunate one that’s broken now, as I never had the app crashing problem before that others had talked about.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the camera app. Uninstall restart phone and then reinstalling the camera app as well might work. I haven't received the latest update yet, looking forward to it.
