T-Mobile Coverage Monroe County PA

Not to sidetrack, but is T-mobile's unlimited plan truly unlimited? No throttling?

It's your thread, I would say you can take it wherever you want. But what do I know :)

TMO does have throttling, they call it "de-prioritization." If you are on a tower that's getting slammed, they reserve the right to slow you down after 25-26GB. And slow you down they will: to sub-1mbps speeds.

Verizon won't (and can't) do this if you're on a band 13 LTE tower. I believe they don't do this for LTE at all, for band 13 they don't touch.

This. Pretty much all unlimited plans besides Cricket will do throttle in congested areas only. Verizon won't on the old unlimited plans because they attempted to at one point but once the government started eyeing it they backed off. My guess is due to a spectrum agreement (such as their phones are usually unlocked due to such an agreement).

ALL T-Mobile plans are unlimited, BUT certain plans have only limited 4GLTE, I'm on the 6G plan, but when I run out and when my rollover also runs out (has never happened) then I would be throttled to 2G EDGE. HOWEVER they do have an unlimited plan which is fully unlimited always LTE. (unless there is no tower coverage of course)

My uncle lives in 18302 which is still Monroe County if I'm not mistaken. Service up there sucks. I spend more time on "E" and no data than anything else. He lives in the mountains, but even if I go to the crossings to do shopping service socks there too. If it was me personally I'd switch service providers if I was moving I to that particular area.

Same for my area. They tie with Verizon :). As for the OP's area I would stick with AT&T / Verizon depending on the needs (data) and the ability to pay the price (if need be).

Or OP .. If AT&T is the best in your area and you're set with your phone you could go to Cricket. They are an AT&T MVNO and are pretty cheap (I believe $70 a month for unlimited data).

Cricket is not an MVNO....they are owned 100℅ by Att......
