T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 - Is there a way to remove T-Mobile opening & closing screen?

Is there a way to customize the opening and closing screen when I turn the note 3 on and off...?

I am not 100 % sure but I would say not unless you root.

Root is the way if you want to be sure. Root your device, then go and rename/delete the poweron.wav poweroff.wav files.
