Is it just me or is the screen rotation feature lagging at least 7 seconds now vs before upgrade to kit kat?

My screen rotation stopped working at all! Terrible. This morning update to build XXENB4... still no joy :-((

My Galaxy Note is with free sim, would that make a difference?

I Googled this issue some more and found this:

I thought: that can't be true: I tried it and it worked! I am happy!

I had that problem initially after I performed the update, but I found that a factory reset solved all issues for me. Phone's running like a champ

Turn off auto rotate, turn off phone, take out battery and sim card, replace, then turn on phone, turn on auto rotate and now it will work fine.

Restarting the phone does the same for me. After some time, the problem returns.

Anyone knows if this is a known bug/?

;)
i found that turning off smart Rotation in smart screen option under control solve my problem . hope it will help some one

My screen lags too, shuts off on me, also my screen rotates when I rotate is set to off. Very annoying. I know its from kitkat update because before I update I was on 4.3 and my phone was perfect never had lags, shut offs

I've been grinding my teeth a little, waiting for my Note3 to autorotate, for a while.

I tried the remove battery & sim thing without success.

What has worked though is to turn off the smart screen stuff, auto scroll on head movement etc.

Autorotate is now much quicker to start.

Screen rotation in Camera app was stuck in Landscape. Turning off Screen rotation, shutting down device, removing SIM and Batt, and restarting has seemed to work for now.

The rotation lacks if smart rotation is turned on(screen won't rotate I'd you're lying on side in bed etc...) . Go into settings and turn off smart rotation and problem solved.
