okay guys my problem is uh i forgot my pattern lock for my phone when i sign in. it says too many attempts. problem is its not in service any more as i got a new phone so i use this one as a tablet. the wifi isnt on and the mobile data isnt on as its not in service any more. i read something about usb debunking mode but idk how to do that. please help. I do not want to delete the data.

Welcome to the forums, Michael. What you probably mean is "usb debugging", not debunking. To access that you need to access the device and enable the mode from the system settings. Since you are locked out this is not accessible.

So you know, a Factory Reset may be the only option. Data stored on the internal sd card is not erased as a result, so don't worry about losing anything stored there. You'll lose all the other data, i.e. apps, messagings and anything not sync'd with Google.

If there is a particular thing you are trying to preserve let us know and we'll see what we can do (if anything) to save that data.
