T-Mobile Hard Reset Using A PC

Ok here is my Problem I bought a used Samsung Vibrant on craigslist it was fine worked and all that he showed me the unlock pattern I did not get a chance to change it or to add my gmail account to the device i have 3 lines a pre for line one pixi for line too and this phone for the 3rd line... My problem is I cant get back into the device i tried to unlock it with the wrong pattern to many times not it wants me to sign in to his email to unlock it... i don't know his email or pass code to do that I tried to do the hard reset with the holding of the Vol. down and pressing the power button its not working when the device has been locked...

So is what i am needing to know is how can i get it hard reset with a pc with the android SDK or something any one else do this before? Your help is appreciated I Can do anything with WebOS but i am not that good with Android

I did search for this and was unable to find anything on this at all...

You can try Kies at the above link just click on S/W then youll see the kies link.
d/l then plug in the handset and see if it connects

You may also try booting into recovery and wiping the phone. If you have the sdk installed, type this, "adb shell reboot recovery"
This should put you into a recovery mode where you can wipe the phone.

Thanks Guys for the help i was able to get it working again but had to mail it off to samsung BLAAA was free but they fixed it sorry for the long delay in thanking you all for your time...
