T-Mobile LG G4 Updated!

Still waiting on mine and not updating via bridge. Says I have the current version when I don't?

dido.
it's like their staggered release is a few phones at a time. wtf. the code for the exploit has already been released.

Yeah this is crazy. I'm tired of waiting, maybe I'll go the nexus route next time. I like the phone but lag is starting to get bad and waiting for updates is annoying.

I agree.....I am tempted to go the Nexus route myself...but I don't like the idea of having to pick the mem. size you want upfront . Maybe with LG making the Nexus they will include the SD slot....but then again, if it is a Nexsus maybe there are specs. they have to abide by.

The battery life goes back to normal if you take the battery out and wait 30 seconds and reboot. I got 20 hours yesterday.

I did notice a bump up in the battery life as well. Before I was getting 13 hours (according to DU Battery Saver app) and now at 97% currently, it says 18 hours.

yeah, I had an n4 and n5 before the g4, and life there wasn't as great as you'd think.
I jumped to the g4. they let bugs persist on the nexus way longer than I expected, and like the oems and carriers, didn't really bother to even talk to their users about the delays. so it just wasn't worth giving up the better specs of other phones, and the n6 for me just didn't cut it.

Okay... so this is completely bizarre and it seems like no one else is having this issue.

I got my T-Mobile software update two days ago and ever since it finished installing my phone refuses to go into Landscape mode. When I'm looking at photos in my gallery... watching YouTube videos... reading emails... it is all just stuck on Portrait mode. It's driving me nuts. I've mashed the "Auto-Rotate" button a million times and rebooted another million.

I fear the answer will probably be "Did you try a factory reset?" which is just so blegh.

Anyone have any ideas for this?

Try settings > accessibility > auto rotate

Have you verified that the sensors (gyroscope) are still functioning correctly?

Lots of apps can test this. CPU-Z is one of them.

Or can you open the hidden device test menu by dialing 277634#*#

Im not exactly sure what's available in that menu because Sprint disabled that, maybe T-Mobile didn't.

Hidden menu works on T-Mobile version

No update yet for me...

I got the update this morning. Touch sensitivity - unlock is much better, but even before I didn't mind knocking 3 times to unlock occasionally.

It did change the default to wi-fi calling on - which I'm sure T-Mobile would like since it decreases burden on their network.
Also, it kept all of the "recent" items - when you click on box to the right bottom, BUT Chrome was messed up - wouldn't work. I cleared recent items and Chrome now works.

I am in the same boat as you. Had the N5 and was not impressed enough to go to the N6. The nexus life is not all it is hyped up to be. At least on T-Mobile. It could be better on different carriers? The grass was not greener in my experience with a Nexus phone.
