I'm half tempted. Just paid off my Pixel 3a XL last month. I can always sell this one for $300 or more unlocked and then most of that phone is paid for. How long does that sale last for?

I have never done this before... Can I buy this phone at T-Mobile, pay the $399, and cancel my plan right away? Keep the phone? I can't tell. Do people actually get away with it?

It looks like you have to sign up. That's usually the case. But TMobile is a "no contract" company.

I just picked up an XL version. I'm already a customer and didn't have to add a line or trade in a phone.

They have changed it to device payment plan and the service is separate from your device installments.

All carriers are same now and not unique to T-Mobile.

So I'm kind of reading this all as yes, I can cancel my plan immediately. Now I have to see what this will cost. I think it says the lowest plan is $60 plus all fees. I'm not on TMobile and would not switch.

I went ahead and talked to T-mobile. You have to keep your plan for one month. Not worth all the hassle to me. Great deal if you are a T-Mobile customer! I can't think of anyone I know that is a T-Mobile customer, otherwise, I would ask them to pick one up for me.

My 3 xl is unlocked from Google. Does the TMobile come with TMobile firmware or gets updates from Google?

I just grabbed the last Pixel 4XL within an hours distance from me, really enjoying it so far especially the 90hz display and camera. I'll probably end up selling my Note10+ and keeping the P4XL.
