T-Mobile Pre-Order Question and Comment Thread

The UPS guy was about to hand it over and then stopped and said the package was intercepted. He had to call the HUB and they assumed it was just a mix up. Long story short I got my phone

So do tell what do you think of the phone?

Now... How do we know that wasn't done with some fancy photoshopping??

@amyf27:

As a proper follow up, I thought it wise to show how one would store a valuable new purchase - just like any other valuable purchases we might make during the course of any week.

This is one idea for proper storage of today's incoming UPS delivery - please see attached.

So, what's with the discrepancy between T-Mobile and UPS? T-Mobile stated that it's shipped, UPS says they haven't received any thing from 'the shipper.'

So far so good. Like I said earlier very fast. I'm definitely wowed by this phone. I was not wowed at all when I got the s7. Size wise I'm not sold. Only got this version bc of battery size. As far as the head phones, they are better than before but not mind blowing.

That is what I'm asking myself. TMO says shipped on the 13th her e we are on the 17 and I see nothing moving on UPS. What happened to "UPS OVERNIGHT"?

Yes but that changed with the Note 7 and we only got it 1 day prior to official launch day. Rumor was the other carriers complained to Samsung about T-Mobile shipping them (S7) so early, who knows if it's true but I wouldn't be surprised. It does seem like Samusung has come down on the carriers regarding shipping pre-orders early though.
@wookiee2cu:

i really can't figure out what reason Samsung might have to pressure the carriers to not ship pre-orders early.

why bother?

we're not talking about a month earlier! we're talking about 5-7 days prior to the official release date.

furthermore, to debunk the theory that ALL manufacturers are pressuring the carriers - just a few weeks ago, LG's flagship was released and my friend had his LG in his hands a full 2 weeks prior to the release date. yes, he's with TMobile.

What do you mean by size wise you're not sold? Is it too big and awkward in hand or in your pocket?

Overnight once ups receives them, UPS has nothing to do here it's all T-Mobile fault. They have created labels and UPS hasn't received them yet. Few of them which slipped to UPS like in case of ctown they delivered but still T-Mobile tried to stop them.

TMobile just has the terminology wrong. Nothing has shipped. I got same thing. The shipping label was created and slapped on the box. That's it. It's overnight shipping but that clock doesn't start until it's shipped. TMobile said they will start shipping on 18th. Likely they boxed up a ton of phones and created shipping labels for them well ahead of time. So that on the 18th all they got to do is put it on a UPS truck that comes to their warehouse. UPS then scans in all those labels and they are actually "shipping"

It's not too awkward but once I saw them both in Best Buy, I liked the feel of the s7 better. The plus is definitely comfortable though so I guess it's my decision I'm not sold on.

Correction on the head phones. Definitely $100 earbuds!

Thanks for the explanation. I figured it was T-Mobile.

The S8 just feels faster. I have been all iPhone until the S7 edge came out. S7 edge was great for a little awhile until I cracked the screen. S8+ is definitely better than the S7. The camera is better and even the speakers are better. I may still go with the iPhone 8 if all the rumors are true, but the S8+ is definitely the best phone today overall.

Yeah they did the same with Note 7 so those of us who pre-ordered Note 7 kind of knew to expect same especially after they sent the texts just like Note 7.

Ok so I'll ask you the same question is it too big in the hand and is it awkward when it's in your pocket especially sitting down?
