T-Mobile S4 on Verizon network until Contract end?

Greetings, all!

I'm currently on Verizon with a Droid Bionic, as is my fiance?. Her phone's Contract end date is January 26th, mine is April 30th. I'm debating whether to opt for the Early Termination Fees on January 31st. She's really excited to switch to the S4, and after learning more about it, so am I. I'm planning to move us to T-Mobile, since their prices with the monthly cost of the S4 (with the $99 down and $22/mo) is about $10/month less than my overall Verizon bill, without the Edge program or anything else. She's so excited to switch to the S4, though, that she wants to buy a Verizon S4 at the end of this month when she'll have the money (we plan on buying from Craigslist, which I've done several times before without issue).

So rather than having her purchase a Verizon S4 now, and then sell it and buy a T-Mobile one later, my question is: "Would a T-Mobile S4 work on the Verizon network, at all?" She's mostly in Wi-Fi areas, and it's my understanding that calls and texts should work fine, but as for data, she'd basically be limited to 3G speeds with a T-Mobile S4 on the Verizon network, until we actually switch to T-Mobile.

Even if unlocked a T-Mobile s4 won't work on Verizon. The 3g you speak of from Verizon is known as a cdma network(tmobile phones only have gsm network bands in them). Now Verizon's 4g lte network is gsm but the s4 on T-Mobile doesn't support the band's required to run on Verizon's network.

I also didn't know that "Verizon's 4g lte network is gsm" .. That's interesting.
