T-Mobile Specific Questions

First I'd like to say it seems like there isn't a lot of T-Mobile Traffic for this phone. Hopefully that won't hurt development for it too much.

Here are my specific Questions:
1) It doesn't look like the Secure Element is included internally with this phone, instead it is part of the SIM card (got a new "ISIS Ready" advanced SIM card when i purchased it). So I wonder if there has been any headway in figuring out how to get Google Wallet to work using the SE in the SIM card. Currently everything in the app works accept tap to pay, which needs the SE. This is probably not so much carrier specific, but I'm not sure.
2) It looks like rooting is already possible, but how is bootloader unlocking coming?

The different carrier versions appear to be similar enough that we'll probably see a decent amount of development that goes cross carrier.

Nothing yet on the bootloader but Loki + TWRP has been ported so we have a way to work around the bootloader for now and flash once something is actually available.

My local store just received some G2s on Thursday. Gonna play with one later today Ideally, I would hope I could wait for the Note 3 to arrive in stores for comparison but the G2 is exactly what I'm looking for from what I've seen. Dunno if I'll make it till Oct 2nd.

Went and played with the G2 today and left with one and the window case. So far the battery is amazing. The camera seems pretty dang good. This is my first non nexus phone in a long time. This thing is very fast. So far it's all stock. One thing I wish so far is the window screen music player isn't Google music compatible, it seems to only work with LGs music player. Other then that it's a very nice phone. I wanted the Z1but just don't know when it's coming, I told myself I really wanted even again and the bezel in just not sure about.

The screen is beautiful on the G2 as well.

Don't do it, don't get the Z1, I have the Z and the first problem I had was too much heat, second problem was power button would only turn screen on, not off, then the next day while on a call my volume started going up, then down, then up then down. My phone rebooted into safety mode (huh?) then the volume thing started again, then phone shut off and won't turn back on, just a red dot when button is pushed, crap phone.Also the battery is horrible and they are going to use the same size one in the Z1. I am just giving you fair warning, don't do it!

The t-mobile store I bought it from told me their display unit also had this issue, they are going to switch it for the G2 for me, YAY!

Is anyone else having an issue with Polaris office on this phone, the T- Mobile version.That is crazy weird because my phone only came pre- installed with the Polaris Viewer 5, not the full office version and therefore I can't edit via text input. Then I tried to download it from the Google play store and I get an error message stating that my device is not compatible with this app, not even the previous version of Polaris Office 4 is available for download because apparently that's not compatible with my device either. I am at my wits end here and don't know what to do:-(

Uninstall the Polaris viewer and download Quickoffice that Google just released for free.

Picked up a white one yesterday as a toy between my Nexus 4 and whenever Google gets around to releasing the next Nexus phone and I must say I'm well pleased with everything about the device so far other than the Optimus UI of course.
