I hear ya man, I was bummed when I found that out myself. Not sure if any developers will be able to get us around that.... other than that, I just run on wifi whenever possible.

Its a shame but we are the reason they are in buisness so forget contracts yea ill sign it...soonas I don't get what I'm paying for..bye bye..2gb is to low hell all this tech in our world upgrade network to handle it...they can tell those who misuse and abuse...punish them not me...yes ill use wifi when possible but to have caution when using my phone because of fear of going over takes me back to days of counting minutes smh

So having the unlimited everything plans gives you 2gb full-speed access, whereas a regular plan and add-on of unlimited data gives you a 5gb full-speed limit. Hmm.. the way they run things is understandable from a business standpoint. Is unlimited everything a contract plan?

I'm curious to see how many people are really using more than 2GB a month and what it is that they're doing to get that high.

Because a lot of it sounds like whining just to whine :)

I don't know they just scare me its like watching minutesbut o well so far I'm loving my plan and device if something else comes out ill get that device...its nothing but a final bill payment and a complaint to the bbb

But 79.99 and my job discount and blazing fast speeds were amazing I'll love it I don't use hotspot as much for fear of being throttled...but push come shove I will drop down to 500anytime min and 5gb cap if need be

You can still get the higher throttle limit, it's just another $20 a month.

Do I need 2 pay the 15 dollars for the tethering 2 work?

I forget, are you rooted? If so, you can try wifi tether from the market. Although, I guess that would eat up your 2 gigs pretty quickly..... and I was wondering if maybe that's partly what the data throttle is for, to cut down on the free tethering?

Tmobile and throttling speed

Yes.. I agree. It's in the contract you sign with Tmobile for unlimited data. Unlimited data yes, but not at the same speed for an unlimited amount of data per billing period.
If people are looking for unlimited amounts of data at a high speed per month (for video, audio, tethering, phone hot spots, etc) then there are plenty of other options outside of a mobile contract -- and for less money!
It sounds a lot like the common complaint of those who want something for next to nothing.. and complain when they can't get it.

All the mobile carriers cap the ?unlimited? amount of data speed per month at various levels.. and it?s reasonable to do so not only from a business perspective but in terms of ensuring all customers have adequate bandwidth.
Those that complain about this are more like those who camp out at McDonalds or Starbucks, order one coffee, and stay as long as they?re open to suck at the free wifi tit. Misuse and abuse, clear and simple.
To those that claim unlimited means ?absolutely unrestricted?, then the speeds received should also be those capable by the phone ? but they are not. They?re governed or throttled at the network side.
