Thank you for the quick answer. I have been reading about flashing using Odin. I have downloaded the usb drivers,Odin and Samsung.kies. Is there a way to find the correct firmware download using a Mac I don’t have a windows machine. I was going to get all the files I need and then go to a friends house to flash on his machine.

Sammobile or XDA forums should have the firmware, you'll need the latest Odin prince comsey and yes need windows for this . Your welcome

T-Mobile is hard timing me and won’t let me unlock til day 40. Am I correct in thinking I need to wait until after the unlock to flash to factory unlocked?

Yes , because you'll need to go through device unlock app to sim unlock on tmobile firmware.
