Got the update today as well. No discernible difference, but it's nice to be up to speed with other Moto Xs out there.

Android 4.4.4 Now Rolling on T-Mobile XT1053

Finally checked for updates and 4.4.4 is now available on T-Mobile XT1053 as of today Sept 29 2014. I am a little weary of installing as some previous folks reported a bug or two after install on other carriers.

Anybody install yet on T-Mobile XT1053 and report on performance?

Trust me, it has been well soak tested over the last seven days.

Just upgraded to 4.4.4 yesterday.

The battery percentage drops slower than before and the Android OS which normally consumes about 20-40% of the usage now becomes 4-6%.

Overall the battery seems to be more lasting.

I would like to see the full ROM to be released.

My battery seems to be ok

Even though the Moto X does not have a removable SD card, part of user storage is designated as a SD card.

I don't really get it. Mostly just been listening to Pandora.

NickLippert,
If you look at the file system with a file manager app you will see a folder that emulates an SD card. This is where user data is stored. I don't know why it would show the battery usage you are getting.

Can someone explain why the unlocked 2013 version took so long to get 4.4.4 but moto is claiming the unlocked 2014 version will be first for updates?

Because the 1053 got 4.4.3 a good while ago and there is very little difference between it and 4.4.4
