The U.S. carrier branded minority variants, G900T and G900T1, for T-Mobile (USA) and its subsidiary, Metro-PCS, have received further releases to their Android 5.1.1 firmware on CSC code TMB.

The release is on OJ4 with a changelist of only #5406928 (T-Mobile), and #5117004 (Metro-PCS). This is not a change from the previous releases and would indicate a security patch, (which Samsung have been furiously pushing out worldwide), rather than a firmware upgrade.

Check both OTA, (Over The Air), and via Samsung's PC suite, Kies, or Smart Switch for updates.

See, also, Samsung release new security updates worldwide

This does indeed include a security patch -- after the update was installed, the Stagefright Detector app you have recommended elsewhere showed "not vulnerable" for the first time. Many thanks for your comprehensive reports.

(Any reason your boilerplate doesn't include Samsung Smart Switch as well as OTA and Kies? Kies nudged me over to SS a while back, and it's working well for me.)

Cheers! One tries one's best. ;)
