Tab 3 Micro SDHC 32GB Issues

Good Afternoon Forum

I have recently been given the Tab 3 and im having some issues with the Micro SD Card...

I can access the card through my desktop PC but i cant add new folders or add any music to it, I cant add any folders to it through the Tablet either.

If my friend puts this into his samsung phone he can access it through both the desktop PC and also his phone. (Add folders and files and also remove them)

This suggests that the SD card works. It seems to be read only on my device.

Has anyone else come accross this before?

Just a last note.. if anyone needs anymore info on this i will do my best to answer but i am currently in the transition from Apple to Android! (Enjoying the change )

Hi Andy is your tab 3 a 7 or an 8 as they are slightly different. On my tab 3.8.0 my pc can only access my micro sd card by removing it and putting it in a card reader but this is because I dont have service pack 3 on my windows xp. I can access my card directly with the tablet and make extra folders on the card and copy andpaste items from the main memory but I believe this is restricted on the tab 3.7.0

The SM-T210 should be capable of file management and new folders using My Files. Grab more info off Samsung's official help pages.

You are sure the card is not fake/defective?

Surely if you put music on the sd card using your PC then the tablet can read it and play it? So it is not a total waste of time in my opinion.

Good Morning,

I did a test this morning and used my mates 8GB Micro SD Card in my tab and it worked perfectly. i could save photos directly from the camera and i could also connect it to the desktop and add files and folders to it.

The thing i cant get my head around it why my 32GB seems to be read only, only in my tablet and nothing else!

Just a quick one...

One the tab 3 are you supposed to be able to save from camera straight to SD card?

Can you move photos and music from the internal storage to the SD card using file manager?

When connected to PC via USB can you add and delete files?

Do you need to connect through a SD adapter?
