Hi guys, I bought this tablet after falling in love with the display when trying out a display unit at a store. Unfortunately, my Tab Pro 8.4 has this issue where if you press only slightly on the display near the bezel on the left side roghly near the micro SD slot, it would squeak and make a creaking sound quite loudly like the LCD is not quite well put together, and I noticed this after just a few hours of use. After getting a replacement unit around 2 weeks after sending it for repair, it is suffering from the same problrm amd only after a few hours of use as well. Not only that, my micro sim card is stuck inside the micro sim slot... (I have the LTE version)

Is anyone havimg similar build quality issues? Anyway this is probably going to be my first and last Samsung device unfortunately. Totally unacceptable and annoying for a high end device to have this kind of issues.

The first one I bought from Best Buy on the day they came out had an issue where the back would "click" when touched. Swapped it out and all is good.

Maybe just the LTE version? I just bought one yesterday, wifi only though, but it's solid as a rock. Maybe you could swap it if still under warranty? I know the tab is pretty new, and it seems the first few batches sometimes have flaws until they get ironed out. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. Like i said i am on my replacememt unit and it has the same creaking issue, and I also get sim card stuck issue as an unwanted bonus :-/

My relative who pirchased the 16GB wifi only model is experiencing creaks on both his left and right side of body.

My advise to those thinking of purchasing one is to be aware of the body, cause it is not a cheap tablet and yet you may be purchasing a tablet with a cheap build quality. Great screen though...

Mine has seemed very solid so far (16GB Wifi) - build quality at least as good as my Nexus 7, and better than my Asus TF101

My old Nexus 7 used to always squeak when I squeezed the bezel just a little. Super annoying. I just tried squeezing the entire bezel all the way around my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and not a single squeak.

I have the 16GB Wi-Fi model, though.

I haven't noticed any faults in build quality, though I've had mine in a case since day 1.

Mine feels very sold. The only negative is that the back cover is a bit slippery which makes it harder to hold.
