It's over three years old. You should still get quarterly security updates though. Samsung supports its devices for three OS upgrades. The Tab S7 series came with Android 10, so Samsung will only update it to Android 13.

It is a bit of a shame...I'm willing to bet most people keep a tablet longer than they keep a phone.

Most definitely. I suspect folks look at a tablet more like a pc as far as the length of time they keep them.

Still love my 7+ and never could see a cost/benefit advantage to upgrading. Knew we were done on the OS front but not thrilled about security updates being 6 months apart. May have to kick up again on the next plus model...

Just got the January update from my 7+. USA/VA. Version DXA1, 1/1/24. See you again in 6 months..

Finally abandoning the S7+ for the S9+. With the trade in it's $399.00 now on Shop Samsung. Specs are a hair stronger and updates through 2027 at least. The Tab series has served me well over the years and never an issue...

I switched from the Tab S7+ to the Tab S9 Ultra for $499 with the trade-in in October 2023. I was really excited about the IP ratings on the Tab S9 series. The thing that killed me was that I had to buy a new Book Cover Keyboard for $350.

When I got the Tab S7+ somehow I got the Book Cover Keyboard for only $99. I know that they gave them away for free with the preorders, and maybe with the Tab S8 series too, but then with the Tab S9 series I think they only gave away the Book Cover (no keyboard). I wasn't going to get the Tab S9 series, or upgrade to the Ultra, but the trade in was great. I also wanted the IP rating for water resistance. I was a little scared to go bigger, but I have loved having this big display. The + line is still a good size too, but I feel like any smaller, and I could just use my Galaxy S23 Ultra - that's a pretty big screen.

Occasionally I use the Tab S9 Ultra as a second screen with my laptop, and the screen is actually a little larger than my laptop. It makes for a great setup when I can't be docked and connected to my dual monitor setup at my desk.

Never received update after the August 2024 security update. Settings does keeps prompting me to udpate but update doesn't happen. Looks like we are done with the updates.

My device says the lats update was installed on Sept 4 2024. THat was the August update.
