I really love my Tab and don't think it's defective and instead my issues are likely due to a bad app.

My problem is that I find when scrolling from homescreen to homescreen I find It's recently become very choppy as it moves and like It's lagging when trying to process an action. And when typing several words at a time it will stop displaying and the haptic feedback will stop. Then it will try to catch up. All of this is becoming more and more frequent and performance is really becoming annoyingly affected.

I believe the device is trying to process something in the background. I checked running processes, but don't see anything. I think it might be due to either dictionary.com widget, the weAther channel or something like that. I don't want to hard reset and reinstall, but I think that may be the best option.

I had the same issue with my Evo a long while back, selectively reinstall certain apps and it's been working perfectly again ever since. I think if I can easily locate the app I could solve the problem. Any thoughts?

Try downloading Watchdog from the market. It will tell you if an application is eating up your CPU. The lite version is free.

I have noticed some lag as well in the homescreen, as well as browser. I started using Launcher Pro, and Dolphin Browser HD for internet. I haven't had any issues since I switched to those.

My wife has an Epic 4G, and hers seems a little laggy as well. I wonder if it is the Samsung proprietary software. The Epic has Touchwiz, and I think the Tab has something laid over the top of Android as well.
