Tab won't update

As the title says I haven't been able to do the update that was sent out several weeks ago. I am rooted, and had renamed a few bloatware apps, but have since gone back and changed their names back. By renaming I mean I added .old onto the end so they wouldn't work. Not sure if that is still the hold up as the .old has been removed from all of the apps. Any other suggestions on what might be the problem but I factory reset?

what update? my tab has not received any updates

VZ tab. they relased an update about 2 months back. fixing minor issues i believe. my tab keeps asking me to update but alas every time i do the update it fails
