tablet doesn't see wifi

Hey there- I rooted my Epic and have been using it for quite a while to tether my laptop. I got the Toshiba thrive about a week ago and it doesn't even see my epic as a wifi source. Any ideas? My laptop sees it but my Thrive tablet does not.

Wrong tether app. You need the one that makes it a wifi hotspot rather than an ad hoc connection. android-wifi-tether - Wireless Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting
Go there and try out 3.x's until you find one that works. The previous versions were all ad-hoc connections, this is essentially like using the built in sprint wifi hotspot feature.

anytime. Unfortunately, this is pretty much only relevant to tethering to other android devices and gaming systems. iPods, iPhones, iPads, and laptops generally all support ad hoc mode.
