Tablet not syncing calendar with phone

Hello all,

I've just received a tablet and have tried and tried but I cannot get the calendar on my phone, Galaxy s4, to sync with the calendar on the tablet. I've tried about everything that I can think of.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the calendar on your S4 associated with your Google account or the Device account? If it's a Google calendar, then it should be a simple matter of making sure the tablet is logged into the same Google account, and then looking for that calendar to display, since it should automatically sync. This is one of the main advantages of associating this kind of data with Google (just like with your contacts).

If it's associated with the Device account, then I'm not sure if it will sync automatically across all of your devices. You can transfer the data using Kies, but that isn't a true sync: How do I Transfer Content between two Samsung devices using Kies 2.6? : Cell Phones | Samsung
