Tablet Talk vs My SMS

For some reason, I could never get tablet talk to connect via WiFi...I finally gave up and Bluetooth seemed to work for the most part. Then when mighty text came out with the beta tablet app, I went to that.

Can it use Google voice # as the phone you link too?
Right now I'm using Tapatalk to link to Google voice #. But if tablet talk has the ability to do this then I will switch cause I see tablet talk has widgets also.

For sending text messages via Google Voice, why not just use the Google Voice app? You can have it installed on both phone and tablet and read/send from either. Messages are synchronized between them as well.

Tablet Talk just had another update. Now it will send MMS messages from the tablet. Nice to see them keeping the updates coming! :)

I was using Tablet Talk when I first got my N7, but didn't really like the syncing and UI of it all. Like someone else on this page I'd been using the Mighty Text extension on my Chrome browser, and they rolled out a beta tablet app which does everything I could ask for and syncs it all through my Google account. I'd say it's worth looking at when it finally hits the Play Store.

Mightytext is not bad, but I'd really go with mysms. It always worked more reliable for me and they have just released a new version of the tablet app https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ls?id=com.mysms.android.tablet&token=qlZCyZXw which works great. Also, mysms works more similar to iMessage (free to mysms users, SMS to other contacts), that's something I really missed in Mighty text.

You can send/receive messages on your tablet, the app syncs with your smartphone and with the web. I don't use normal MMS, but sending pics works nicely via mysms.

Its been updated, you can now send SMS via tablet talk.

I think you mean MMS. We can now send MMS picture attachments from the tablet. Awesome, right? Let me add that Tablet Talk launched new themes. Free to install once you have purchased the app.

He updated the launcher icon too ;)

What's mighty text? What's the difference between that and Tablet Talk?

They both do the same thing. Mighty Text is free; Tablet Talk costs. I like both... Just chose Mighty Text because I beta tested and have used it with Chrome for a long time.

For the record, I switched form Mighty Text to mySMS, and love it. Seems to work a lot better and the web interface has no ads.

I tried tablet talk but I like the idea of the cloud sync better than the connection directly between devices.
